Vintage Alteration

During my trip to LA a few weeks ago, I popped into the vintage shop Buffalo Exchange and picked up this awesome dress that appears is from the 70’s.  I loved the print and the color but found the length a bit strange.  It was too short and desperately needed pleats at the waist, so I broke out my handy sewing machine and got busy.  For good measure, I added one of my top loves….pockets and I now think this is one of my favorites.

Dress- Vintage

Great idea to make the dress into a mini; it's beautiful! Both your blog and your amazing style are very inspirational 🙂

Love, Love LOVE the dress. I didn't realize that you sew but I should have known. I'm rusty and will be bringing my machine over so you can teach me how to pleat and pocket.
