DIY Little White Dress

white-dress
For the last few years I’ve started to incorporate a lot of white and bright colors into my wardrobe, and for a person who’s favorite color is black that’s a huge accomplishment.  This dress was made with a heavy weight jersey I picked up at G Street fabric that’s perfect for colder weather.  The pattern used was this Mccalls M6355 view D with the following alterations:

Used the sleeves from view C and added 8″ to the length
Added an a bell sleeve
Added two panels to the side seams
Added a pleated bottom
Added a curved neck

Dress- DIY
Coat-Zara
Boots-Schutz
Shades-Tom Ford
Clutch-Bottega Veneta

I love how you have transformed what could be a very simple dress into something magnificent and I really like the two panels on the sides. With the coat, the ensemble is sheer perfection!

      Thank you Tiffany

I measure the circumference of the cuff, cut a piece of fabric my desired width x 2 x's the circumference length. Pleat the fabric as I pin it to the cuff and sew the cuff in place.
