When I sat down to make something with this beautiful bright stretch cotton sateen fabric on moodfabrics.com that is a dream to sew with and absolutely perfect for spring and summer, I wasn’t too sure if I wanted something that would last for the next two months or something that would carry me through the summer. Considering I’m three months pregnant with zero bump I decided to not allow this cute little dress to go to waste and make it baby friendly for months to come.
This dress was made using this Mcalls pattern with the following alterations:
-Added 2″ to the width of the front of the pattern
-Added 3″ to the width of the back of the pattern
-Removed 8″ from the lenth of the pattern
-Added a front pleat
-Added 2 back pleats
-Added a 9″ zipper in to the neck back
-Added a inverted pleated extension to the bottom of the dress
