DIY one sleeve dress

Have you ever put on a piece of clothing and simply felt beautiful? Well, this is the dress!  The color, the way it moves, the way it feels against my skin.  All those things make this dress magic.

So let’s discuss the fabric…….. I had to double check the description and I’m still convinced it was labeled wrong.  Everything about this fabric reads great quality silk.  But nope, it’s a polyester crepe de chine.

It’s a light/medium weight with a beautiful drape, irons easily and sews nicely.

The pattern used for this dress was vintage Butterick 6047 with the following alterations:

-Added 4″ to the length

-Faced one armhole

-Used vintage Butterick 6932 for the other sleeve

A very quick and easy sew with minimal alterations

Shoes-Dolce & Gabbana
