Since I can remember, I have absolutely loved lace and the delicate nature of such an absolutely beautiful fabric. The many lace pieces I own, I have had for many years and because they are housed in a satin sweater box, hand wash with woolite and dried flat they look practically new.
In true DIY fashion, I wanted to try my hand at lace and picked up this stretch lace fabric to create this pencil skirt that I lined in a silk and lycra blend. I now understand why lace garments are a bit pricey, sewing lace is definitely a challenge, so the man hours alone can justify.
