When it comes to lace who wouldn’t feel dainty and sexy at the same time. Lace is one of those delicate fabrics that truly make you feel grown. Although lace has been known to be a bit difficult to sew, I found this fabric I picked up at a local fabric store very easy to work with. Because I knew I would be moving around quite a bit in this dress and would have it on all evening, I wanted something comfortable but not too casual. The underlay is this super stretch knit thats very sheer alone which made it perfect to place under the lace.
I used the top to this Butterick pattern and made a quick fitted pencil skirt based off the pencil skirt made here. which I added to the bodice, fitting it with darts which made making this dress a cinch.
