Diy sheer cover-up

I’m finally wrapping up the last of my DIY vacation looks with this bright yellow sheer cover-up.  Because I spent a lot of time at the beach and pool, I wanted cover-ups that were comfy yet cute.  The fabric I used for this cover-up was this sheer swiss dot from Moodfabrics.com that I’ve seen so many times and contemplated getting it because of it’s super low $5.99 sale price but not sure what I was going to do with it.  It’s absolutely perfect for beach wear and comes in multiple awesomely bright colors.

The pattern I used for the top was vintage Mcalls 4722 with the following alterations:

-Removed the sleeves

-Removed 10″ from length of the shirt.

The pattern I used for the skirt was vintage Simplicity 6700 with the following alterations:

-Added 20″ to length of skirt
