DIY silk kimono

When you pick up fabric that’s so luxe you can only imagine sleeping in it but it’s too amazing to only see the light of my bedroom……..then it’s only fitting to make a kimono.

This Rag & Bone silk charmeuse is a breeze to cut sew and iron and definitely more beautiful in person. I used the wrong side of the fabric for the body of the kimono and used the right side for the trim and belt.

This beautiful fabric is almost sold out but here and here are a couple equally beautiful options.

The pattern used for this kimono was this Burdastyle 06/2011 #121A downloaded pattern with the following alterations:

-Added 5″ to the length of the sleeve

-Added a 4.5″x75″ tie wrap

-Added a 4″ band around the sleeve

Simply beautiful. What color are your shoes? I have been looking for a nude color shoe that fits my skin. This one is perfectly what I am looking for.
