DIY mini coat re-fashion

Lately I’ve been a bit obsessed with kids clothing.  I can be in the process of making myself something and all of a sudden I’m inspired to whip Chandler up a dress.  I’m pretty certain it has everything to do with her new love of “pretty” clothes which is what she says when she puts them on.  I feel like she’s growing so fast and never again will I have the opportunity to make cute LITTLE clothes for her, so I’m eating this up right now but every so often I like to re-make something to make it perfect for her.

The other day while shopping on Amazon, another obsession I have, I came across this cute little boys military jacket.  I ordered it knowing I wanted to transform it into something more little girl appropriate and all for $30.00

-To give it more shape, I added elastic to the waist of the jacket by pulling the elastic tight as I stitched it.

-I removed the fabric cuff’s and replaced them with knit cuff’s

-I added iron on love patches from Zara

And she absolutely loves it.
