DIY Printed dress

Being the big fan of fitted dresses and oversized sleeves that I am, I figured why not incorporate the two.  I’m typically drawn to solid color fitted dresses but I remembered this gorgeous fabric I picked up from moodfabrics.com a couple months ago that unfortunately sold out.  Here and here are a couple fantastic alternatives that would look just as awesome.

The pattern used for this dress was:

Bodice McCalls 5927 view B with the following alterations:

-Added 1.5″ to the height of the neck

-Faced the bodice

-Added a 11h”x 18w” attached exaggerated sleeve. (lined the sleeve with a heavier medium weight twill to give it structure)

Skirt used was this self drafted pencil skirt.
