This summer has been all about breezy dressing in lots of linen and other warm temperature fabric. So when I spotted this gorgeous medium weight twill on moodfabrics.com, I knew it would make the perfect dress. When you think of twill, you think of a fabric with a bit more structure so I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and was nearly identical to linen. It sews, irons and cuts like a great quality linen and it’s even more beautiful in person.
My dress was made using the front bodice of Vogue7521 with the following alterations:
-Added 2 22″x2″ adjustable back straps, attached by buttons
-Added a 30″l x 60″ W pleated skirt to the bodice
Chandler’s top was made using McCalls MP407 with the following alterations:
-Used inverted pleats instead of gathers to attach the peplum to the bodice
The shorts were self-drafted

Hello,
I would like to ask something… I can never find te patterns . to sew the dresses you make. I live in the netherlands and cannot find them. How do you get these patterns. Eighter they cost al lot of money or they are not for sale anymore?
I really love your posts. Are you still a sewing blogger? I don’t see much activity lately.
Yes, I’ve just been very slow with posting. If you follow me on Instagram, I post new looks pretty frequently. https://www.instagram.com/beautejadore/?hl=en
