While trying to transition with this summer-like weather were still having in the east, I wanted a light fabric that gives me a denim vibe. Then I remembered this cotton twill that’s simply beautiful……and paired with this Rag & Bone satin makes it even more special. I decided to line the skirt with a crepe de chine to give it a bit more structure.
The top was made using Vogue V8840 with the following alterations:
-Added a 30″x14″ gathered sleeve
-Removed the front seam
-Added a 10″ invisible zipper to the back
-Added elastic around the bottom of the sleeve
The skirt was made using vintage McCalls 2905 view D with the following alterations:
-Remove 8″ from the length of the hem
-Added a 3.5″ high waist
-Added an 8″ side zipper
