When it comes to a cover-up I like to stick to “real” pieces that could easily transition to off the beach with ease. With an added tank dress this cover up fits the bill. This dress was made with a knit cream from moodfabrics.com that’s unfortunately sold out but here’s a great alternative.
The pattern I used was vintage McCalls 3074, the same pattern seen here with my suede color block dress with the following pattern alterations:
-Removed the front seam lines
-Removed the sleeves
-Removed the zipper
-Combined the back bodice and the bottom back to create one pattern piece
I could have used a pattern that didn’t require so many pattern alterations for such a simple dress but because I’ve used this pattern before, I knew the fit and flare silhouette which is what I was going for would not present any fit issues.
That is beautiful, love the simple elegant design. You really inspire me to go out side the box. I recently purchased v1380, I think it’s from the 1980s or 90s, but it reminded me of your style.

Simply beautiful…great fabric choice:)
