When it comes to knits, I’m definitely an oversized sweater kinda girl. But lately, I’ve been obsessed with sweater dresses and everything ribbed. So when I was on the hunt for a great quality ribbed knit, I hit pay dirt with this amazing Italian wool rib knit from Mood Fabrics.com It’s medium weight, drapes nicely and cuts and sews with ease. It’s available in three colors and a cool weather must have.
The pattern used for this dress was Vintage Vogue 8615 with the following pattern alterations:
-Added a seam separating the bodice from the skirt in the front and back
-Removed the back zipper
-Increased the side slit
-Added a metal zipper to the side slit

Thank you so much
Such a gorgeous dress, and it looks great on you…I appreciate the manner in which you used a vintage pattern and added a contemporary twist…elegant.
Thank you so much, I definitely prefer a vintage pattern. So much versatility!
This dress is fabulous!
Thank you
Oh i love this!!! I just recently made a ribbed dress also (but didnt have thick knit so i had to double up). I may have to consider using the one you used! Is it scratchy at all due to the wool content?
Thank you:)
It’s actually really soft. I too don’t do well with wool knits, but I wore this dress all evening with no issue.
So chic and elegant.
Thank you so much.
Simply beautiful! What length zipper did you wind up installing?
Thank you, it’s a 30″ zipper
Absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you
