DIY camel wool

This has to be my favorite time of year for sewing. If I could get away with making nothing but coats I would be a very happy woman. I’ve made lots of coats since starting my sewing journey, but this is my first full length camel coat and I’m kinda in love.

The fabric I used was this wool coating from Moodfabrics.com  which was easy to cut, sew and manipulate. The fur used was a recycled coat I purchased off Ebay a couple years ago and cut for the collar. I used this bemberg lining which is one of my favorites and gives the interior a nice comfortable finish.

The pattern I used was Vogue V8841 with the following pattern alterations: – Added 3″ to the width of the lapel -Added 2″ to the length of the sleeves -Added slits at the sleeves -Added flap welt pockets

      Thank you Krystle
You should definitely try it, coats to me are so much easier and more rewarding.
